1. Who runs the service

PlayCallDNA is a web and mobile application for flag football coaches. It is run by the sole trader named in the header of this page, referred to below as the “Provider”.

These terms apply between the Provider and anyone who uses the service. The “Customer” is whoever took out the subscription — usually a club. A “User” is anyone who signs in.

You can write to hello@playcalldna.com.

2. What the service does

It lets you draw plays into a playbook, build call sheets from them, record the course of a game and a practice, keep a roster, scout opponents and turn all of it into reports.

It is a tool. The Provider does not warrant sporting results, nor the accuracy of whatever Users type into it.

The set of features changes over time. The Provider will not, however, remove a feature the Customer subscribed for during a paid period without compensation.

3. Accounts

An account comes about in one of two ways. Either you set up a team on the website and become its administrator, or the administrator of an existing club invites you — whoever accepts chooses a password and becomes a member in the role the administrator assigned.

The role decides what a User may do: a coach draws plays and records games, a player views and prints the playbook, scouting and reports, an administrator also manages people and the subscription.

Users are responsible for their credentials. Passwords are not to be shared. On a shared tablet, sign out after the game — that also clears what the app had stored for working without a signal, so the next person cannot reach someone else’s game.

The Provider may restrict or close an account used to breach these terms or the law. Where possible, it will give notice first.

4. Free trial

A new club gets 14 days free. No payment card is entered and nothing is charged when the trial ends.

After that, either a subscription is agreed or the club’s writing is locked under clause 6. The data stays readable and printable.

5. Subscription and price

The subscription is bought for a club, not for a coach. How many people the club invites is up to the club.

Plans and prices are on the pricing page. Prices exclude VAT — the Provider is not VAT registered.

Payment is by invoice, by bank transfer. No payment card is entered in the application and the Provider processes no payment data.

The subscription runs for the period stated on the invoice and does not renew itself. The application gives notice as the period draws to a close.

6. When payment is outstanding

Once the paid period ends, writing is locked for the club: plays, games and practices can no longer be added or changed.

Reading and printing remain. Nothing is deleted automatically — the playbook can still be printed afterwards.

Payment releases the lock and the club carries on where it left off.

7. Consumer rights

This clause applies to a Customer entering into the contract outside their business activity, that is, as a consumer. It does not concern clubs and organisations.

A consumer may withdraw from the contract within 14 days of concluding it, without giving a reason. An e-mail to hello@playcalldna.com is enough.

The service is made available immediately on conclusion of the contract. By asking for immediate access the consumer agrees that performance begins before the withdrawal period expires; on withdrawal they then pay a proportionate part of the price for the time they had the service. In practice this rarely arises, because there is a free 14-day trial before any payment.

A consumer may turn to the Czech Trade Inspection Authority (coi.gov.cz) as the body for out-of-court settlement of consumer disputes.

A person under 18 cannot conclude the contract on their own.

8. Content you put into the service

Playbooks, plays, call sheets, the roster, game and practice records, scouting and uploaded logos remain the Customer’s. The Provider claims nothing beyond what running the service requires: storing, displaying, backing up and printing them at a User’s instruction.

The Customer is responsible for being entitled to put the content in — photographs, logos and player details above all. Personal data is covered by the privacy policy and by clause 9.

The default route and formation sets, the icons and the look of the application are the Provider’s work. They are used inside the service and are not copied into other products.

9. Processing personal data for the club

Clubs enter data about their own people into the application: player names, jersey numbers, attendance, game records. For those, the club is the controller and the Provider is the processor. This clause serves as the data processing agreement under Article 28 GDPR.

The Provider undertakes that it:

  • processes the data only on the club’s instructions and only as far as running the service requires, for the term of the contract;
  • keeps confidentiality and binds everyone who reaches the data to it;
  • applies appropriate technical and organisational measures, described in the privacy policy;
  • engages the further processors listed in the privacy policy; it will announce any change there in advance and the club may object to it and end the subscription;
  • assists the club in handling players’ requests and in reporting personal data breaches;
  • deletes the data after the contract ends within the period stated in the privacy policy, or sooner at the club’s request;
  • lets the club verify that these obligations are met.

10. Availability

The Provider works to keep the service running but does not guarantee uninterrupted operation. An ordinary outage, maintenance or a fault at an infrastructure provider gives no right to a discount.

Game recording works without a signal: a game in progress stays on the device and is sent once the network returns. The call sheet, however, has to be downloaded while there still is a network.

Maintenance is scheduled outside usual playing hours where possible.

11. Liability

The Provider is liable for damage caused by breaching these terms to the extent the law provides.

Towards a Customer who is not a consumer, compensation is capped at the amount paid for the service in the twelve months before the event. The cap does not apply to damage caused intentionally or by gross negligence, nor to personal injury.

The Provider is not liable for data loss a User brings about themselves — by deleting, by signing out with records still queued, or by losing the device.

12. Ending the contract

The Customer may end the subscription at the close of the paid period. The Provider may terminate with one month’s notice; in that case the paid and unused part of the price is refunded proportionately.

After the contract ends the data is handled under the privacy policy. There is time to print or export it even after writing is locked.

13. Changes to these terms

These terms may change. The Provider will give at least 30 days’ notice by e-mail or in the application of any change that worsens the Customer’s position.

A Customer who does not agree may end the subscription as of the day the change takes effect and will be refunded the proportionate part of the price paid.

14. Governing law

The contract and these terms are governed by the law of the Czech Republic and disputes are decided by Czech courts.

If the Customer is a consumer resident in another EU member state, this does not affect their rights under the law of their country of residence.
